This morning, I was blessed to have several ladies in my home for breakfast and Bible/Book Study. We are reading Sally Clarkson's book, Seasons of a Mothers Heart together and studying the Word as it pertains to life as a mother.  This month we read about Prayer and Fear.  The Lord NEVER ceases to amaze me. What amazes me about the Lord, is that he took a book, written years ago, by a mom like me, put it in our 5 hands, and was exactly what all of us needed to hear! We ended up having prayer meeting!

So, AGAIN..Fitting Into A Box...What Box are you trying to fit into in 2012?  Do you want to be a size 6, have radiantly beautiful hair and skin, drive a nicer car, spend hours in the Word or Prayer a day, watch less TV, play with your children more, home school like so-and-so? What will make you feel like you have accomplished something at the end of the year?  Is it YOUR goals for your year, or is it the LORD'S goals for you this coming year?

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

You see, we can pray and ask the Giver of All Good Things and the Creator, to guide us down the path...that HE planned for us, or...we can squeeze into the box our neighbor, co-worker, friend or family member has.

Intentional Living

For you, it may be time to get in shape...for we are a temple of God...we are his hands and feet.  It may be the year to pull out all the stops concerning your children.  I may be time to give up the TV to pursue a lifestyle of prayer or may not.

No matter how beautiful the box, no matter WHO is trying to sell their box to you...Remember, you will ONLY fit in the box the Lord designed for you!  It is a beautiful place to be in the will of the Lord!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me--practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:6-10

Happy New Year to you all!  I pray for an unquenchable zeal for the Lord for you in 2012.  That you will greatly impact those whose lives you come in contact with.
