Mom...I'm Kinda a Big Deal!

Last weekend I was so blessed to attend the MomHeart Conference!  I am always blessed and amazed at how much the Lord pours into me all at one time.  I love that He uses so many different women to speak LIFE into a conference room full of 800 women...searching, tired, excited, lost and anticipating women. One of the speakers in the Mom Like Me portion of the conference was Kat. You can read some of her heart at Inspired to Action. I was refreshed and inspired by Kat.  Kat is an encourager.  She is passionate about Motherhood and she told us how important it is to see ourselves as the "Super Heroes" we are!

"The next time you fill out the occupation blank on a form write 'I'm a MOM...I'm Kinda a Big Deal!" -Kat

Seeing the Super Hero sometimes can be difficult...for it's through the eyes of our children that we get a glimpse of the cape as it flies behind us holding the laundry in our sweats.

My husband came across this note my sweet son wrote me one Mother's Day...

Intentional Living

...SM (Super Mom)! Can you see my cape?

Change your perspective, just for a minute, and look through your child's eyes and embrace the Super Mom you are.  After all..."You're Kinda a BIG Deal!"

"Her children arise up,and call her blessed;" Proverbs 31:28a

Love to you all,

Katie

God is Good!

I am excited about what God is speaking to my heart!  He is an awesome God...NOTHING compares to His Majesty.  Over the next weeks and months, I am going to be doing a series on Proverbs 31!  I am SO excited!

So...please be praying for me that God will be the ONLY one exalted, and that as my toes get stepped on, I can pass the wisdom on to you and maybe save yours from a little foot stomping...heehee

Adventures Await

Do you ever wonder, "how am I going to walk this out?"  I do.  I feel a call on my life, a tug at my heart, a simple request to move and I sometimes respond as Moses did..."but God...surely you don't mean me! I ...." filling in the blanks with all my excuses.  But then I draw strength from the Word of God.

"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."2 Peter 1:3-4

"I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all." Ephesians 4:1-6

The Lord never expects us to "go it alone" or without a road map.  This isn't a guessing game. We are not unprepared for the journey in which he has called us, nor are we left without resources to get the job done.

There are exciting adventures waiting and God is waiting on you, and me to get movin'!
