Words

Speak-Life.jpg

Words. They are the tools in which we communicate. They stir feelings, transfer thoughts and make tangible ideas. They are powerful. In them are Life & Death (Prov 18:21) As I read John 1:1-4, my heart is pricked. I have read these verses many times before and love the truth that spills forth that Jesus, the Word, was the Creator in the beginning and is the Light of the World  for eternity. As I read them this morning, my heart is welling over with gratitude and humble adoration for my King. Jesus IS the WORD...the spoken and written WORD of God. I am basking in this truth this morning...letting the familiar be anew in my soul once again.

The Word- Jesus -is the LIGHT...and the Light is LIFE.

I use words every minute of every day to express my thoughts, revelations, dreams, plans, and desires. I use them to instruct, teach, motivate and express love to those around me. Do I give Life to those who hear my words? Are my words, His Words? Scripture tells us the Word never returns void but goes forth until its purpose is accomplished. (Isaiah 55:11) Am I speaking and writing Eternal, Life-giving Words to my husband, to my children, to my family and friends? Do I send forth Life? Scripture is FULL of verses warning us of the death in our own tongue. Only through the power of the Spirit, which indwells me and makes me new (2 Cor 5:17), can I speak Life. Only through the blood of Jesus that covers my life, can I choose to bridle my tongue and speak Life Everlasting over my loved ones.

I pray the words on this canvas reflex the Word-the Light of Jesus that will illuminate your heart. I pray the WORD will bring you to a place of worship, forgiveness, beauty and peace. And then the Word, the Light, be LIFE to your marrow, food for your spirit and strength to your souls. Jesus- the Word, the Light is LIFE...everlasting Life

Words. In them are Life or Death. Choose to give Life. Choose to spread Light. Choose to speak Jesus over others and show them, through your words, the very love of Christ. Care for those around you with compassion on your tongue.Teach others to love with beauty on your lips. Bridle the harshness in your heart and allow the Spirit to pour out of your mouth love and compassion, grace and mercy...even to the unlovely. And then will TRUE Christianity be seen in our lives. Then will Christ's name be glorified through us. Then will those we come in contact with see and hear Jesus in us and wonder WHY we are different.

Speak Life

Let our Words be LIFE, and LIGHT so that all men would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ...the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Your Mission: Motherhood & A Giveaway

Mission of Motherhood

The pages are warn and marked with underlines, smiley faces, brackets and stars. Notes written as reminders float in the margins. Half of the pages bear the water, well coffee marked wrinkles from mornings gathered around breakfast with other women pouring over scripture and the guidance of a Godly woman, Sally Clarkson.

This book is for moms-to-be, moms with children still at home…and even empty-nester moms.

Mission of Motherhood is not just another book to read about what to expect during child-rearing years. Sally Clarkson has incorporated Biblical questions and application ideas at the end of each chapter that will encourage you in your walk with the Lord as a mother and a woman. The scriptures are the backbone of why Clay and Sally parent the way they do and the Truth that compels Sally to share what she has learned from the Lord over the years. Her love for the Lord is authentic and true.

Here's a little about the book from the Publisher:

The Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson: A Fresh Vision for Motherhood

-Do you long for your home to be life-giving and peaceful? -Is it your desire to pass on a legacy of righteousness to your children? -Do you struggle to balance the duties of motherhood with a loving relationship with your children? -Would you like creative ideas for keeping your child’s heart open to you and to the Lord?

No calling is greater, nobler, or more fulfilling than that motherhood. Every day, as we nurture our children, mothers influence eternal destiny as no one else can. Tragically, today’s culture minimizes the vital importance of a mother’s role. By catching a vision of God’s original design and allowing it to shape your life, you can rediscover the joy and fulfillment to be found in the strategic role to which God in all his wisdom has called you, for a purpose far greater than you can ever imagine.

Did You Find Him?

It is still dark. I grope for the coffee this morning as my eyes are struggling to open.  Not my usual start.  The time change is really having an effect on me.

intentional living

As I begin to become more alert I remember the reason I forage through the darkness...to seek my Savior and time with Him before the day gets going.

I find Him...He has been waiting.  He isn't struggling with groggy-ness, for scripture tells me that He does not sleep nor slumber.

I am thankful beyond words that I have a God that is accessible 24/7. One who not only waits, but bids me to come find Him and spend time with Him.

He is waiting....Did you find Him today?

Encouragement

Saturday I was privileged to enjoy the company of some dear friends while we all worked on different crafts and chatted. I love these dear ladies...each one of them for different reasons.  They are all special and unique...but we are all one, in that we love the Lord Jesus with all our hearts.  That is the tie that binds us together.

For several years now, one of these sweet ladies and I have been leading women's Bible/Book studies.  We have walked through many books together and seen God work in many lives.  What a blessing.  One day, only 4 appointed women were in attendance.  It was ordained by God so that we could minister to the heart of a fellow sister.  She was hurting for her son...for her other children...and longing for Godly direction.  We prayed over her and listened and as we all looked to scripture for answers and Godly wisdom, my sweet sister soaked it all in.

This was about a year and a half ago, and although I see this friend, we have not been able to really talk about the situation.  Supermarkets aren't always conducive to heart to hearts...sometimes even the phone isn't appropriate.

This weekend, I was able to talk with my friend and she told me all the wonderful, miraculous, fantastic...only God could have done...changes that had happened in her family.  This once tight group was now tight again and filled with Joy over their sibling's changes and life.  It was such a joy and blessing for me to hear.  My eyes welled with tears as I watched the Joy on my friends face as she spoke of her son.  What a miracle...what a blessing...what and AWESOME, living God we serve!

I tell you this as an encouragement.  I am attacked so many times...thinking that what I do is pointless and meaningless.  I try wholeheartedly to follow after Christ in my live, but I still hear doubt and unbelief creep in. Their words telling me that it's just ME and my vain imagination thinking I need to lead/facilitate these studies. But you see, that IS the lie.  God is truth and when we share the TRUTH the word says that His  words never return void. He is mighty to break down the strongholds in our lives.

If God has called you to move...don't stand still and question His him over and over...MOVE!  If you are already walking in obedience...take courage!  Be encouraged and know that even if you never hear the outcome...even when you think you are not making headway...even when it looks like you are "preaching to the choir"...God is using you!

I am thankful that God is full of love and compassion. That he knows every hair on my head.  That he is faithful.  That when we come to God and believe that He IS...he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Press on...Press in...and know that He will do a great work in you!

Love to you all!
