Mom...I'm Kinda a Big Deal!

Last weekend I was so blessed to attend the MomHeart Conference!  I am always blessed and amazed at how much the Lord pours into me all at one time.  I love that He uses so many different women to speak LIFE into a conference room full of 800 women...searching, tired, excited, lost and anticipating women. One of the speakers in the Mom Like Me portion of the conference was Kat. You can read some of her heart at Inspired to Action. I was refreshed and inspired by Kat.  Kat is an encourager.  She is passionate about Motherhood and she told us how important it is to see ourselves as the "Super Heroes" we are!

"The next time you fill out the occupation blank on a form write 'I'm a MOM...I'm Kinda a Big Deal!" -Kat

Seeing the Super Hero sometimes can be difficult...for it's through the eyes of our children that we get a glimpse of the cape as it flies behind us holding the laundry in our sweats.

My husband came across this note my sweet son wrote me one Mother's Day...

Intentional Living

...SM (Super Mom)! Can you see my cape?

Change your perspective, just for a minute, and look through your child's eyes and embrace the Super Mom you are.  After all..."You're Kinda a BIG Deal!"

"Her children arise up,and call her blessed;" Proverbs 31:28a

Love to you all,

A Sweet "Tweet" Apology

An Apology... This weekend was filled with such WONDERFUL, LIFE GIVING words of ENCOURAGEMENT at the Mom Heart Conference...yet I tweeted carelessly and caused pain to a fellow believer and mom as well as misrepresented the most gentle, life speaking woman I know...Sally Clarkson.

The tweet: "The most blessed child has a happy mom."

Not something "bad" to say, but a sweet mom who was following the conference via twitter ...who was feeling desperate and in a dark place of her life was hurt.  This quote was OUT OF CONTEXT...and there is NOTHING I can do to take back the sting it caused her.

Motherhood can sometimes be a rough road to hoe when the Deceiver is whispering in our ear that we CAN'T do it...that we are inadequate...that we have already missed the mark, so why continue to try...

If you are in a dark place...know that the Father of LIGHT is with you.  He promises NEVER to leave nor forsake you.  He tells us that His strength is made perfect in our weakness and that he cares for us like a mother cares for her child...even more!

The Father LOVES us!  He give us hope...through Christ Jesus. He is our Sustainer!

We live in a broken world where we, sometimes, are broken as well. BUT there is HOPE. JESUS CHRIST, His redeeming Love, His sacrificial LOVE that saves us from the grips of darkness and illuminates our way.  He gently brushes the tarnish away to reveal in and through us what a beautiful treasure we are to him...just as we are...he loves us.

So, PLEASE, forgive a careless TWEET and know that I am praying for light to invade the darkness in a way that is "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," (Eph 3:20)

Humbly striving to write a wrong and bring light to the darkness...

It's Been A While

I haven't posed in forever, it seems, but God is still moving and working on my heart and in my life.  I have seen such maturing in my son over the past few weeks and months, and the sweetness of my daughter's spirit has blessed me beyond words.  As for the hubby...well, he is considerate and loving as always! Out of the depths of my heart, flows thanksgiving to my Savior for such sweet blessings of a family.  The sound of giggles in the front yard as the water hose splashes coolness onto hot children.  The surprise of a clean kitchen after a long day. The sweet hugs and kisses. The talks and inquisitive questions at night.

So much sweeter is it that my family loves the Lord.  That each person, in their own heart has wrestled with the Spirit and given their lives, thoughts and dreams to the Creator of the Universe.  I am blessed to watch the fruit grow.  To know that that they are forever...unto eternity...going to be with me.  That each one of us will, one day, pass through the Pearly Gates and fall at the feet of Jesus!intentional living

Oh, what a sweet salve it is to my soul...
